This interactive model illustrates the R-strategies of the Circular Economy.
The R-strategies describe different approaches to use resources more efficiently, avoid waste,
and keep products in the cycle for longer. They are divided into three categories – from
intelligent product planning, manufacturing, and use (R0 - Refuse, R1 - Rethink, R2 - Reduce),
through circular use (e.g., R3 - Reuse, R4 - Repair, R5 - Refurbish, R6 - Remanufacture,
R7 - Repurpose), to utilization (R8 - Recycle, R9 - Recover).
All are shown here, even though not all of them are equally relevant for Berlin’s industries,
and some may be applied multiple times. In particular, strategies R0 to R2 are universally
applicable and offer great potential for resource conservation and waste prevention.

Note: This page is a teaser. The content for the final
Competence Hub is currently under development. Soon, in-depth materials will be available
here on methods, regulations, funding opportunities, initiatives, and good practices
in the field of Circular Economy – tailored to the SME landscape of Berlin.
Enjoy exploring the model!
