At the 21st Global Conference for Sustainable Manufacturing (GCSM) in Bologna, the Circular Economy Hub Berlin was represented with two contributions.
A scientific paper presented results of a needs analysis on circular economy skills in Berlin-based SMEs. The analysis shows: many companies are still at the beginning and require targeted capacity building – while lack of time is considered the biggest barrier. The digital competence hub provides a free and flexible contact point for orientation, knowledge building, and networking.
In addition, students of TU Berlin presented a web-based, interactive learning game within the framework of the Circular Economy Hub Berlin. The game guides users along an industrial value chain, where they make decisions and thus experience the principles of the circular economy in practice.
